Growth stems from discipline. Discipline keeps us on the path when the going gets tough. It allows us to hold the line when everyone else is caving in. Challenging ourselves strengthens our discipline, subsequently guarantying growth. Challenging ourselves can and should be simplistic. Wash the dish you set in the sink for someone else to clean, brush your teeth with your opposite hand, pick up the piece of trash you step over walking into work, make the bed vice just tossing the covers over the pillow, take a sunset walk instead of settling into the couch, resist cutting the corner, take the long way. The patterns we create through our discipline in doing the little things leads to the success we find in the big things.
